ICIMOD promotes integrated mountain development and seeks to improve the living standards of mountain populations of the Hindu Kush-Himalayas (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan). It is a focal point for documentation, information, research and training, and provides expert services for the Hindu Kush-Himalayan countries. Its website contains a wealth of information, including publications, projects, a picture gallery and information on sustainable options.
